PEOPLE WRITE BECAUSE NO ONE LISTENS

Everyone have their own battles and we are no judge of what they’re going through. Normally, what people showed on their social media are only tiny bit of their life. And normally, people did not show that they’re sad, anxious, depressed or having a breakdown. That’s why, be kind. Be kind to everyone you came across in life.

I don’t know about other people but from what I have read, people tend to keep things to themselves instead of letting their feeling out to people. They thought that people wont listen to them but judge them instead. That’s why, they let things out through writing. They let things out through crying. No surprises, I did this too.

I just finished watching the latest Netflix series called ‘It’s Okay To Not Be Okay’ last week and no doubt, I can relate my life to the storyline. There is a line in the series that I can relate with.

“Your body is honest. When you’re in physical pain, you cry. But the heart is a liar. It stays quiet even when it’s hurting.”

Honestly, I still keep things to myself. I never cry to anyone because I know people wont be as understanding as Allah is. They cant comfort me more than Allah able to soothe my broken heart. But, one thing that I recently realize is that, sometimes we also need the physical touch to keep us warm, to keep us calm, to comfort us, to assure us that we’ll be just fine.

So, it all comes to one conclusion. We need Allah to heal us, but we also need those warm hugs and encouraging words to get our feet on the ground, and move forward. It works both ways. Put Allah first, and when things are still unbearable, pray to Him to send us someone to help us through the hardship.

Before ending this entry, I would like to insert another line from the series I stated earlier.

“When you’re tired, get some rest. When you’re sad, go ahead and cry”.

But don’t be sad for too long. Try not to waste your energy and move forward one step at a time.
